Parish Prayer Group:
We are all experiencing life in a very different way at the moment: we are not able to see each other, we attend Mass virtually and we are communicating differently. I am sure many of you may have family, friends or colleagues for whom you pray; these prayers may be for many different reasons. The prayer of a community can be of great comfort. The St Thomas’ Parish Prayer Group has now been established on WhatsApp. We are inviting you to join this prayer group so that we can pray together as a community.
The group will work as follows:
- The group will be administered by Deacon Neil and Ingrid La Trobe.
- In order to join the group please send a text message to either Deacon Neil on 07394 112514 or Ingrid on 07775 742871,
with your name and the church you normally attend and we will then add you to the group.
- Your mobile number will be visible to other members of the group.
- You are free to ask the group to pray for your own or others’ needs.
Of course, Fr David and Fr Paul are praying for us each day at their daily Masses so a lot of prayer is going on.
There are just a few of us at the moment and it would be nice to share with a few more parishioners. Deacon Neil and Ingrid put out daily reflections and remind us who the Mass intentions are for. It is a good way of praying for each other and staying connected.
